CBSE Seminar on Child Abuse and Prevention

Lovely Public Sr. Sec. School, Priyadarshini Vihar under the aegis of National Public Schools' Conference organized an enlightening and awakening talk show for the teachers of different schools of East Delhi on "Child Abuse and Prevention" on September 23'2014 in School Conference Hall. Dr. Ravi Malik, famous Pediatric of Malik Radix Hospital, East Delhi, presided over as the Guest Speaker. He highlighted that psychological, physical, emotional and behavioral problems of a child can become a long term problem of not taken care of at the grass root level. The school director principal Dr. (Mrs.) S.D. Malik inspired the teachers to become a role model and responsible citizens while talking such a sensitized issue. The program began with a welcome song and a skit on "Child Abuse" which was presented by the students of Lovely Public Sr. Sec. School. The teachers were spell bound by their effective and impressive performance. The students emphasized to help the victims to abandon their fear and negative emotions by lending a helping hand of acceptance and approval not only as the parent but teachers as well as the society. An interesting informative PowerPoint Presentation was also presented by Mrs. Priyanka Arora (PRT) and Miss Poonam Pahwa (Clinical Psychologist) where they also laid importance on how to overcome this social stigma by giving crucial information about "Child Helpline - 1098". Besides this, an innovative and informative orientation program was also conducted for the teachers by "KIDPROOF" on how to overcome the problem of bullying and different kids of fear factors faced by the students in the school. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and Shanti Path.
